chi-power SPORTS
Based on the timeless wisdom of T'ai Chi and related arts including Zen (Ch'an) meditation and Chi Kung breathing exercises, the principles of chi-power GOLF are easily adapted to help athletes from other sports develop greater biomechanical efficiency and enhanced mental game techniques, most notably the ability to develop relaxed concentration and enter the elusive realm of the sporting zone or flow-state.
Other sports coached include athletics, extreme/endurance, swimming and tennis.
A chi-power SPORTS workshop is held every Saturday morning at Berkhamsted Elite Tennis Academy where Jayne is the Mental Training Coordinator, helping the junior players excel at developing mental toughness and emotional control – on and off the tennis court.
If you would like more infomation about how Jayne can help you and/or your team, please get in touch.
"Jayne has shown me that meditation is the missing link in mental game training. It offers athletes a way to experience the ‘here and now’, which is invaluable in terms of concentration and relaxation."
Jamie Edwards, Trained Brain
"T'ai Chi has helped me in my mental preparation for races, particularly the big ones. Just before the race, I am able to focus better and control negative thoughts and nervousness. I also think that T'ai Chi has helped my overall physical condition, especially flexibility, balance of the two sides of the body and use of core body strength."
Amanda Heath, World Masters record holder 200m breaststroke
"I spent some time this morning reading your book ‘Stillness in Motion'. I really like the way you write... The parallels between the ancient forms of practice and what I've discovered over the past few decades of endurance sports are amazing. It's neat to read things I've experienced but never had words to describe, articulated so clearly."
Christopher Bergland, Guinness World Record Holder for treadmill running and three-time Triple Ironman winner
