Our training methods


Performance biomechanics

Based on the timeless wisdom of the martial arts, chi-power GOLF / SPORTS presents a body of knowledge and a wealth of training techniques from T'ai Chi to encourage strong athletic alignment, mind-body connection, grounding, sinking, centering and relaxation.

This type of training (workshop and/or personal tuition) is for all coaches and players looking to improve refine and advance their understanding of correct posture, balance, and power and develop what we call performance biomechanics. This refers to the ability to maintain superior biomechanics under the intense pressure of competition.

Also, we teach athletes how to use the body's natural centre of gravity (T'an Tien) to release the maximum amount of energy with the minimum of effort - a form of explosive power known in the martial arts as Fa Jing.

Training is intensive and possibly unlike anything you’ve experienced before!

In T'ai Chi, the mind and body are one reality; therefore we seek to train a positive and relaxed mental state by training good body structure and physical relaxation. In fact, we are trying to still the mind completely and develop a relaxed, efficient and natural body together with a heightened state of awareness, which can help athletes develop a reliable and repeatable golf swing, tennis serve, half-pipe routine, front crawl, on so on – even under pressure.
