The Swing
The traditional approach
The traditional approach to mastering the golf swing is to get tips from magazines, books, and lessons from the professional coach at your local club. Yet how many golfers have taken this route, only to discover that their handicap and their most common swing faults remain the same year after year?
Right across the globe, in what Fred Shoemaker, author of “Extraordinary Golf” calls the Culture of Golfers, the average golfer looks for outside help and even the Tour Professional seeks improvement by getting instruction from another person, deemed to be a better golfer, or an expert in some aspect of golf.
Yet there is another, better path to improvement that can give every golfer, from the weekend player to the professional, a chance to swing with confidence, stay relaxed under pressure and develop the increased awareness necessary for continual learning and enhanced enjoyment of the game.
The chi-power GOLF approach
"Stand like a mountain, Move like a river"
chi-power GOLF is unlike any other type of coaching currently available and has been called the “missing link” in golf instruction. The first thing golfers are asked to do when embarking on this unique path, is to put away their clubs for a while and learn to develop awareness of their body, mind and breathing.
The approach is similar to learning T’ai Chi in that you’ll start with some basics – like developing good habits of posture, learning what rooting feels like, being able to stay relaxed and balanced and develop strength from the ground upwards. You will also begin to develop greater awareness of your body and with it, the ability to swing more naturally and uncover any blind-spots in your swing that may have hindered your development as a golfer.
With chi-power GOLF you will really start to develop the connection between your mind and body, so that your body can swing naturally, instinctively and consistently, without getting caught up in self-interference. Moreover, you will discover that your entire game can develop exponentially, rather than piece-meal fashion as it tends to when using the traditional approach.
Benefits to be gained include:
- Better balance at address
- More ground force energy
- Enhanced body motion
- Awareness and the ability to improve
- Greater club-head speed
- Longer, straighter drives
